Bio

Mark Thirman is the Global Distributed Cloud and Edge Leader at IBM. In his 25+ year career, he has worked primarily in technology and telecom companies, including Lotus, Vodafone, Telus, and IBM. Mark was the Chair of MIT’s Connected Things conference for over 15 years and Vice Chair of their Board of Directors. His expertise is in IoT, telecom, and related technologies. He frequently presents on these topics at various venues including at the big annual telecom show “Mobile World Congress” in Barcelona.
