K. Drakonakis

Konstantine is an experienced early stage investor and operator focused on developing proprietary IMPACT technology companies. As an “Entrepreneurial Engineer,” he gravitates to technology companies within the software, med-tech and green-tech markets. Konstantine is managing Connecticut Innovation's ClimateTech Fund which has a mandate to invest $100M into technology companies which will directly and indirectly decarbonize our climate and create economic growth and jobs in the state of Connecticut. He is also a partner in LaunchCapital and the Pritzker Vlock Family Office (PVFO) and has led over 40 investments to date and serves as a strategic advisor for many of his portfolio companies. He represents LaunchCapital and PVFO as a board member on the following portfolio companies: 6K, INC (where he was the founding Executive Chairman and CSO), EpiEP, TearSolutions, and Iridia. Konstantine is actively involved in the incubation/inception stage of the entrepreneurial ecosystem and serves as an advisor to the Entrepreneurship Foundation and the Donaghue Foundation. He is also an Executive in Residence for the University of Connecticut and Yale University. Mr. Drakonakis started his career in venture capital and climate tech as the Manager of New Technology Investments and Infrastructure Development at the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund, (CT Green Bank). He holds a Masters in Environmental Management from Yale University and a Civil and Environmental Engineering degree from the University of Vermont. He is a board certified Professional Engineer and is a member of the National Civil Engineering Honors Society.
